‘(Are You Recording?) 28’ was a 24 hour camera experiment in which I would only interact with other people if they were, themselves, filming me.
This ran from midnight to midnight on the day of my 28th birthday.
Anything could be used to film (eg. smartphone etc) with the ask that they then shared the footage with the artist. The experiment resulted in 175 video clips as well as a logbook writing and Instagram page which has been going live with the videos ever since.The experiment was exhibited as a video installation consisting of three looping screens with different outputs including the 175 videos clips, a screen-record of the @are_you_recording_ Instagram feed and text from my written log.
