Meredith Kenton's work centres around notions of time, space, control and the self, with a primary focus on time-based media such as performance and moving image. Meredith is interested in challenging assumed modes of communication and interaction through rule-based performance and use of tools such as language or filmmaking to compound rather than clarify understanding.

Having studied English Literature at Oxford University, Meredith then moved into narrative filmmaking, writing and directing two short films. They worked professionally in digital advertising and social content production at companies inlcuding BAFTA and Red Bull before turning to an artistic practice to pursue methodologies designed for exploration rather than efficiency.

Meredith currently has a London-based practice and has undertaken residencies in other parts of the UK and France.
