Unmatch Day is a film by Meredith Kenton which combines super 8 footage with field recordings taken in two of their previous neighbourhoods: Arsenal/ Holloway and Whitechapel.
It was an experiment in unmatching/ matching filmmaking elements as an exploration of their experience living on the juncture of various communities and cultures but remaining an outsider.
The project was made for a Straight 8 competition which meant no editing of the footage and no preview of how the audio would match to the images.
Filmed private performance (2025)
